Hi guys,
first of all I want to let you know that a new version of Uni-Form is on it's way. My guess is that it should be out some time next week so in between 6th and 13th of May.
Here are some of the updates and changes the new version will have:
- Added combo fields support
- Enabled defaulting to .blockLabels layout if the parent element is not classed
- Changed the clearing method from overflow to :after
- Sorted the usage of .inlineLabel class and it's layout (if the text is too long, it won't go under the checkbox/radio button), but rather stay aligned with the first character of the label text
- Added more inline elements to act as hooks
- Enhanced the display of 'required' asterisk indicators, added support for them to .inlineLabel element and styled it for .blockLabels layout (knock-out, positioned them in the negative space)
- Sorted the columns support, add .col if you simply want to float all to left, and control the columns further by adding .first and .last classes (before it was .columnLeft and .columnRight)
- Fine tuned .formHints, added more inline markup to act as hooks (e.g. link them to footnotes)
There might be more until next week, but so far this is it. Overall, it should make people more comfortable using it and take it one step further from needing to alter the markup and add more stuff on your own.
Also there is another thing - you can now download it at any time from SVN
Just do this:
svn export https://sprawsm.svn.beanstalkapp.com/uni-form/
That command will not contain any .svn folders you'd usually get if you just checked out a copy.
Please note that the version you get from SVN is still not production ready until the official new version launch announcement is made, DO NOT USE IN LIVE PROJECTS. Also if you desperately want the newest copy from SVN in the future, it is always best to ask here first about it's state instead just getting it and messing your stuff up.
